Laser hair removal \u2013 How does it work?<\/h2>\n\n

You won\u2019t believe how simple the whole process is<\/strong>. Two main factors are responsible for hair growth \u2013 the hair follicle and stem cells<\/strong>. Both are the foundation of all the hair and follicles on your body. When you heat them to 60 degrees, they die<\/strong>, and the hair will no longer grow in that spot<\/strong>. This process is called photothermolysis<\/strong>. During this process, light energy is converted into heat, which destroys the hair follicles<\/strong>. It\u2019s similar to when you\u2019re wearing a black t-shirt in the sun<\/strong>. You feel much hotter than if you were wearing a white shirt. It\u2019s basically the same thing. Dark colors absorb more light, which is why a black t-shirt heats up more in the sun.In laser hair removal, the sun is the laser, and the hair is the black t-shirt. The hair absorbs the light from the laser and heats up to the necessary temperature, which destroys the follicle and stem cells. All of this happens in just 0.003 seconds<\/strong>.
